About CAN!
CAN! was formed to provide meaningful programs promoting literacy and the creative process. CAN! authors build connections with students and teachers and enrich the curriculum. By sharing their writing and their lives, they make reading and writing relevant and important to children.
  • to small groups as well as large assemblies

  • to all educational levels from primary to secondary and above

  • to audiences with diverse interests

  • throughout the world, including the United States, the Canary Islands, Africa, Asia, Canada, and Europe

  • CAN! authors have appeared on Oprah, Reading Rainbow, Storytime, and other shows. They are in demand at statewide reading conferences, conferences for the gifted, and more. They have presented workshops at USC, UCLA, Claremont Graduate School, the Heidelberg and Singapore Young Author's Conferences, the annual conferences of the California Reading Association, the International Reading Association, California and National Council for Social Studies, the California School Library Association, and the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
